Maloney wins BKA crown, as Cadets fight to the end

Calem Maloney is the 2025 Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Champion Driver after winning his fourth consecutive Easykart 125cc class title. Bringing his total of victories for the year to 19, he shared the race wins in Sunday’s (November 16) final round of the Sectus Technologies Championship two apiece with outgoing Champion Jacob Mayers.

Maloney a winner again on return to Bushy Park

Home for a final break before the start of his second ABB Formula E World Championship season at Sao Paulo in Brazil in three weeks’ time, Zane Maloney returned to Bushy Park where his career began and won the second Cole Clarke Racing (CCR) 3 Hour Endurance Kart Race on Saturday (November 15).

  With changeable weather conditions early in the day, Maloney and Sebastian Thompson were fastest in wet Practice and dry Qualifying, then led the 179-lap race for all but 10 or so laps just after the half-hour mark, also clocking the fastest lap.

Podium places for female racers at Bushy Park

Two female racers stood on the end-of-day podiums for the first time at Sunday’s (September 21) fifth round of the Barbados Karting Association’s (BKA) Sectus Technologies Championship. Hailey Brathwaite and Ava Mayers were the third-placed points-scorers in their respective classes.

Sharma and Trinidad win Nations Cup at Bushy Park

Trinidad and Tobago won the BMF OK-J Development Series Nations Cup at Bushy Park at the weekend (August 15-17), while hosts Barbados prevailed in a tough battle with Jamaica for second. T&T’s Alex Sharma was the individual Champion, with four race wins, Zak Mayers won the other two to finish second, while Sharma’s consistent team-mate Abishek Ramdeen was third.

FIA V-P Daniel Coen in for Nations Cup at Bushy Park

Daniel Coen, Vice-President for Sport - North America of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), will be at Bushy Park Barbados this weekend. The world governing body’s senior figure in the region is here for the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) OK-J Development Series Nations Cup.

Maloney retakes lead of BKA title chase by two points

With three wins at Sunday’s (September 8) Crane & Equipment Raceday at Bushy Park, Calem Maloney has retaken the lead of the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship after seven rounds. Since slipping back when he missed the second round in March, the Easykart 125cc class leader has been edging closer and now leads Zak Mayers by two points, 575 to 573.

Karters eager for the restart after summer break

After seven weeks away from the track, drivers in the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship are eager to return to Bushy Park Barbados this Sunday (August 11) to start the second half of their season. With four more Race Meets in the next 12 weeks, the pressure is on to make every result count.

Mayers retains BKA lead as Bruce and Thompson win

Zak Mayers has retained his lead in the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship following Sunday’s (May 5) fourth round at Bushy Park Barbados. Although his cousin Jacob and Aeden Bruce remain second and third in the Easykart 100cc Juniors, Bruce has slipped to fourth in the overall standings behind Calem Maloney, top scorer for the day in Easykart 125cc Lights.

Thompson leads BKA points as class battles heat up

Nine drivers won races in a hugely competitive fourth round of the 2023 Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (August 13). While Blake Thompson increased his lead in the Champion Driver title chase, the battle has intensified in both the Cadets and Easykarts Lights, where single-figure points margins now separate the front runners.
