Momentum shifts in BKA Championship standings

Zak Mayers has increased his advantage in the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship following a thrilling day of wheel-to-wheel racing at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (April 7). The Crane & Equipment Raceday was free from major incidents or penalties, producing five different race-winners, with another five drivers claiming podium places, and a shuffle in the standings as the momentum shifted in two of the BKA’s three classes.

Mayers keen to keep the lead at BKA round three

As competition intensifies in the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship, points leader Zak Mayers is determined to retain his advantage this weekend. A maximum four wins last month catapulted the Easykart 100cc Juniors class leader to the top of the overall standings ahead of Crane & Equipment Raceday, round three of the championship, which runs off at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (April 7).

Zak Mayers stormed to four race wins in the Easykart 100cc Juniors class at Sunday’s (March 3) Williams Equipment Raceday to take the lead in the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship. With early leader Calem Maloney absent pursuing his studies, Kayleigh Catwell has moved ahead in the 125cc Lights after four hard-fought races and is tied for second overall with 60cc Cadets leader Oliver Judd.

Strong entry for 125cc Lights at BKA round two

High-speed wheel-to-wheel action is promised at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (March 3) in round two of the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship. With more than 10 entries, the EasyKart 125cc Lights – the BKA’s fastest category – are set to be the stars of the Williams Equipment Raceday, with a shake-up in the standings on the cards, too.

Calem Maloney early leader of BKA Championship

A perfect record of four wins at Sunday’s (February 4) UpBeat Wholesale Raceday has earned Calem Maloney is early lead of the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship. His total of 100 points places him eight ahead of Daniel Ullyett, with Zak Mayers third after a day of close racing at Bushy Park in St Philip which promises a strong season for the sport.

New rivalries in prospect as BKA season starts

When the 2024 Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship gets under way at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (February 4), new rivalries will be forged as returning drivers move up through the classes and newcomers join the entry. Sunday’s UpBeat Wholesale Raceday, scheduled for an 9.00 am start, is the first of nine rounds between now and November.

Barbados karting celebrates its Champions

Members of the Barbados Karting Association (BKA), their families, friends and volunteer marshals and officials gathered in the Open Air Suites at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday evening (January 28) to celebrate the winners of the 2023 Sectus Technologies Championship. Fourteen-year-old Daniel Ullyett was crowned Champion Driver for the third time, also claiming a first title in the 100cc Easykart Juniors class.

Daniel Ullyett is 2023 BKA Champion Driver

Daniel Ullyett is the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association’s (BKA) 2023 Champion Driver, adding a third overall title to those he won in 2020 and ’21 and a first in the 100cc Easykart Juniors class. The final round on November 5 which was lost to bad weather has not been re-scheduled, so the Sectus Technologies Championship points have been declared after the six rounds run between March and October.

Maloney, Thompson and Ullyett fight for BKA title

Reigning Champion Driver Calem Maloney claimed a maximum 100 points for the third time this season at Sunday’s (October 1) Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Glassesco Raceday at Bushy Park Barbados. In doing so, he drew level with Blake Thompson who has slipped to second after leading since round three, as former double Champion Daniel Ullyett became the fourth different leader of the Sectus Technologies Championship this year. Just 14 points are spread across the three, with the final round on November 5.
