Shakedown Stages win a confidence boost for Read

Josh Read and Mark Jordan laid down an early marker for BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 with a measured victory in Sunday’s (March 29) Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Shakedown Stages. Although others set the fastest stage times, they kept their Ford Fiesta Rally2 ahead from the second of nine special stages, winning by exactly two seconds.

Shakedown Stages the first big test for BCIC RB26

Nine stages in the north of the island in Sunday’s (March 29) Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Shakedown Stages will give crews from home and abroad their first big test ahead of BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 (May 29-31). Fifty-one cars will line up for the first closed-road rally of the season.

  Seeded at number one in the running order published at last night’s (Thursday) Briefing Meeting at the BCTSA Clubhouse, Searles, Christ Church, is Jamaica’s Kyle Gregg (Ford Fiesta Rally2). Victories in BCIC RB25 and the BRC Winter Rally last October contributed to him winning the 4wd Championship.

New names on Rally Club’s 2025 Roll of Honour

Six new names are listed among the 22 overall and class champions confirmed today (Friday) by the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) following a successful 2025 season. More than 230 competitors regularly participated in the Club’s varied motor sport disciplines, with a record number of 70 local crews starting its premier event, BCIC Rally Barbados.

Gregg wins Winter Rally; Corbin Champion-elect

Jamaica’s Kyle Gregg prevailed in a hard-fought three-way battle for last Sunday’s (October 26) BRC Winter Rally, run in blisteringly hot conditions in the north of the island. He defeated early leader Josh Read by just under six seconds, with Dane Skeete third a further 10secs back after a stall dropped him out of contention for the win.

Dates announced for BCIC Rally Barbados 2026

The Barbados Rally Club (BRC) has announced the dates for the 36th edition of its premier event. Subject to final ratification by the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF), BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 will run from Friday to Sunday, May 29-31, with The Auto & Rally Show and King of the Hill, the final shakedown and seeding event, the previous weekend (May 23/24).

  The entry form for BCIC RB26 will go live on the official web site - rallybarbados.net – at noon local time on Wednesday, October 1, 5.00pm in the UK and Ireland; the five-month entry window will close on March 1, 2026.

Thompson leads BRC Championship ahead of final round

After six drivers have variously shared the overall lead of the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Driver’s Championship this season, Kurt Thompson will head into next month’s final round as the first exclusive leader of the standings. In a very strong year for local rallying, more than 80 drivers have scored points, with the title to be decided at the BRC Winter Rally on October 26.

Gregg wins twice in rain-affected BRC Double Header

BCIC RB25 winner Kyle Gregg continued his strong run of results with victory in both directions of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Summer Sprint on Sunday (August 24). The Jamaican extended his lead in the BRC 4wd Championship and climbed from sixth to equal third in the Champion Driver title chase, with only November’s Winter Rally to go.

Crucial points up for grabs in BRC Double-Header

With two points-scoring opportunities, the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Double-Header Summer Sprint on Sunday (August 24) will be crucial for success in the 2025 BRC Driver’s & Class Championships. As the season draws to a close, with November’s Winter Rally the ninth and final round, Sunday will play a key role in the outcome of the chase for the Champion Driver title, also for victory in the 10 contested classes.

Gregg, Panton are Jamaican one-two in BCIC RB25

The Rally Barbados trophy is heading to Jamaica for the seventh time. Kyle Gregg, whose father Gary won the event 19 years ago, and Bajan co-driver Kreigg Yearwood celebrated a Jamaican one-two at the Vaucluse Raceway finish of BCIC RB25 on Sunday with Gregg’s fellow-countrymen Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell Jnr, whose run of four back-to-back victories had ended in 2018.

Floodlit start for record BCIC RB25 entry at Bushy Park

A record 122 cars from 14 countries will contest BCIC Rally Barbados (May 30-June 1), which starts under floodlights at Bushy Park in St Philip tomorrow evening (Friday). Last year’s winners Stuart Maloney and Kristian Yearwood are seeded at number one for the 35th edition of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event, which lists nearly 100 overseas drivers and co-drivers on the running order, published at last evening’s (Wednesday) Briefing Meeting at Savvy on the Bay, Bridgetown.
