FMX4Ever riders to thrill crowds at ROC 2014

  • The FMX4Ever freestyle motocross team will bring their latest show to next month’s Race Of Champions in Barbados
  • The riders will fly far and high over the Bushy Park Circuit as they show off their dazzling range of two-wheeled expertise
  • This will be a unique chance to see this incredible show in Barbados including stunning tricks such as tsunami back flips and huge whips

Sneak peak of the Race of Champions cars for Barbados?

With the names being announced thick and fast for the 2014 Race of Champions in Barbados nothing has been mentioned about the cars they will be driving.

Barbados Motorsport obtained these shots of some Ariel Atoms being built with the distinctive Race of Champions livery. The question is, are they supercharged? Are they V8s? Are those the tyres they're going to be using? Either way, at close to 500bhp/tonne they should be spectacular!

Team Barbados targets CMRC Country Championship

Team Barbados has its sights set firmly on winning the coveted Country Championship title as it confirms an 11-strong team for the final round of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC), to be staged at the South Dakota Circuit in Guyana next month (November 15/16).

Only 12 points cover the leading three territories, Trinidad & Tobago having leap-frogged into the lead with 308 points after returning as a host country in August for the first time since 2006; Guyana is second with 297, with Barbados third on 296. Jamaica trails on 151 points.

SUSIE WOLFF TO COMPETE AT ROC 2014

- Susie Wolff will become the first female driver ever to compete in the Race Of Champions at this year’s event in Barbados

- The news marks a return to racing action for Wolff, currently the development driver for the Williams F1 team

- Wolff joins greats from Le Mans, IndyCar, V8 Supercar, Rallycross and F1 in the ROC field, with many more big names on their way

Beacon Insurance backs BMF Club Meet at Bushy Park

Beacon Insurance is the title sponsor of this weekend’s (October 18/19) BMF Club Meet at Bushy Park Circuit, St Philip. More than 18 hours of on-track action, including the first stage of Suzuki Rocks! - the Quest for the Best in the island – is planned over the two days, with bikes, dragsters, karts, race and rally cars all sharing centre stage, offering something for all the family.

Race of Champions - Barbados - Confirmed!

As originally posted by Barbados Motorsport last week the 2014 Race of Champions has been confirmed as being held at Bushy Park in Barbados.

A huge event, this will be the second 'unmissable' occasion for motorsports fans on the island at Bushy Park this year after the hugely successful Top Gear Festival in May.

Race of Champions - Barbados?

No official press release yet, but what do we see on the Race of Champions site? That's right, Barbados on the 13th and 14th of December!

The new Bushy Park circuit was in the running of finalists but it seems it may be the chosen venue!

Honours shared at Digicel Williams International

Host nation Barbados shared the honours with Guyana and Jamaica at the opening round of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) 2014/15 at the weekend (July 5/6). Guyana's Kristian Jeffrey claimed a clean sweep in the three CMRC Group 4 races and Jamaica's Kyle Gregg won two Group 2 encounters, but it was Barbados leading the Country Championship standings at close of play.

Region's best test for Digicel Williams International

Reigning Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Champion Doug Gore is urging island fans to head for Bushy Park Circuit in St Philip tomorrow (Saturday) for what he predicts will be some "serious, serious racing", as the 2014/15 season kicks off with the first of three CMRC races slated for the end of the day's packed programme.
