T&T teenager Deen wins big at Bushy Park Barbados

RCC18-07: September 5, 2018

Digicel joins Williams as title sponsor of CMRC International

BPB-18-17: August 29, 2018

Digicel will join Williams Industries as joint title sponsor of this weekend’s third round of the 2018 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) at Bushy Park Barbados, rekindling a successful partnership dating back to 2010. The Williams Digicel International Race Meet (September 1/2) will play host to regional Champions past and present on two and four wheels in a 22-race programme organised by Bushy Park Motorsports Inc (BPMSI).

New blood boosting Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup

After claiming two wins in each of the first two rounds, Stuart Maloney of Barbados heads into the second half of the inaugural Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup season with a 22-point cushion at the head of the standings. On both weekends, however, the third race win was claimed by an SR3 Cup newcomer, teenager Isa Deen on home ground at Wallerfield in Trinidad & Tobago in June, then his fellow-countryman Kristian Boodoosingh in the Night Races on the Bushy Park National Circuit in Barbados in July.

Vieira returns to Bushy Park CMRC at Williams International

Multiple Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) Champion Mark Vieira will compete in the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) at Bushy Park Barbados for the first time in four years when he lines up alongside fellow-countryman Andrew King at the Williams Industries International Race Meet next weekend (September 1/2)

Thompson set for CMRC Group 2 fight at Williams International

At the wheel of the Glassesco/NKM Clothing/Bio Beauty/SLAM 101.1FM/Automotive Art/Berger Paint/King Ocean Honda Civic, Thompson will be playing catch-up; he missed round one in Jamaica, then scored a disappointing, by his high standards, 23 points at Wallerfield (T&T). Now eighth in the table, Thompson has a good chance of moving up, as a number of drivers who scored in earlier rounds will be absent.

Williams Industries to sponsor Bushy Park CMRC International

Williams Industries is confirmed as title sponsor of round three of the 2018 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC), to be staged at Bushy Park Barbados next month (September 1/2). The local conglomerate thereby maintains its unbroken record of title sponsorship for the island’s qualifying round, which dates back to 2008 when Barbados became part of the current CMRC, following annual support for earlier regional race meets at the St Philip facility since 2004.

McCartney still ahead in BPMSI title chase

Former Superstock bike racer Devan McCartney has increased his lead in Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc’s (BPMSI) 2018 Champion Driver title chase from 30 to 39 points, despite failing to add his tally of class wins at the BPMSI Night Races last Saturday (July 7). Run from day into the night under the all-arena lighting, the first race meet on the new 1.28-kilometre/0.79-mile National Circuit produced some hard-fought action, particularly in Group 1 Class 2, the Club’s best-supported class.
