Maloney, Thompson and Ullyett fight for BKA title

Reigning Champion Driver Calem Maloney claimed a maximum 100 points for the third time this season at Sunday’s (October 1) Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Glassesco Raceday at Bushy Park Barbados. In doing so, he drew level with Blake Thompson who has slipped to second after leading since round three, as former double Champion Daniel Ullyett became the fourth different leader of the Sectus Technologies Championship this year. Just 14 points are spread across the three, with the final round on November 5.

Radical Caribbean double-header for T&T fans at Wallerfield

Circuit racing fans in Trinidad & Tobago are in for a rare treat next month, when the Radical Caribbean Cup stages its first-ever double-header for the Suzuki-powered Radical SR3 sports-racers at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway. Catering for the fastest race cars in the region, the five-round series administered from Bushy Park is currently being led by T&T hotshot Kristian Boodoosingh, who finished runner-up last year.

BMF applauds FIA Rookie of the Year Zane Maloney

The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) has applauded the achievements of Formula 3 racer Zane Maloney following a whirlwind seven days in Europe for the 19-year-old Barbadian. While the headline news was joining the Red Bull Junior Team as a Formula 1 reserve driver for 2023, he also collected trophies at ceremonies in London, Monaco and Bologna, where he was crowned FIA Rookie of the Year, the second-youngest circuit racing winner behind double World Champion Max Verstappan and the first from F3.

Bushy Park congratulates F3 racer Zane Maloney

The management of Bushy Park has congratulated Zane Maloney following today’s (Wednesday) announcement of the next step of his career. Two days after collecting the John Cooper Trophy at the British Racing Drivers’ Club Awards in London, 19-year-old Maloney confirmed on his Facebook page this morning that he will be a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and a Formula 1 reserve driver in 2023.

BMF applauds success at FIA Motorsport Games

The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) has saluted Calem Maloney and Leon Sealy following their performances over the weekend (October 26-30) at the FIA Motorsport Games in France. In partnership with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI) and supported by the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA), the BMF was one of 72 National Sporting Authorities (ASNs) affiliated to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile which fielded 463 competitors in the second edition of the Games.

FIA Formula 3 Vice Champion Zane Maloney won twice and set new Qualifying and Race Lap Records when he joined the 2022 Radical Caribbean Cup (RCC) as a non-scoring guest driver for its third round in Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday (October 9). As the other race winner, Kristian Boodoosingh gave his home crowd and principal sponsors at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway much to celebrate, collecting maximum championship points to assume the lead of the regional series.

Zane Maloney joins Radical Caribbean Cup in T&T

Zane Maloney, who finished second in the FIA Formula 3 Championship which ended at Monza in Italy two weeks ago, will race at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway in Trinidad & Tobago for the first time next month. He will face drivers from his home country Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and the host nation in the third round of the 2022 Radical Caribbean Cup (RCC), which showcases the fastest race cars in the region.

BTMI supports expanded BMF team for FIA Games

Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI) has partnered with the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) to facilitate an expanded presence at the FIA Motorsport Games to be held in France next month. In addition to an entry in Esports, confirmed two weeks ago, the BMF will now also field a driver in Karting, while the two organisations will jointly host a booth in the ASN Village.

BMF applauds Zane Maloney’s first FIA F3 win

The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) was quick to congratulate Barbadian Zane Maloney on his first victory in the FIA Formula 3 Championship at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium today (August 28). Less than 24 hours after he rolled into retirement following heavy contact in the Sprint Race, the 18-year-old led team-mate Roman Stanek home in the Feature Race in Trident Motorsport’s first double podium of the season.
