BPMSI restructures ahead of August International

Ahead of the upcoming visit to Barbados of the GT Challenge de las Americas (August 29/30), host club Bushy Park Motorsports Inc (BPMSI) has confirmed some management changes. Two-time champion at the St Philip facility, Neil ‘Shocky’ Corbin, is the Club’s new Chairman, while Jamal Estwick, whose background is in karting, is Vice-Chairman.

  Driving a turbocharged Nissan in Group 3B, the top class back in the day, Corbin was Champion Driver in 1998 and 2000, before taking on a club management role, then concentrating on family and business after retiring from competition.

BRC Championship shake-up follows BCIC RB26

Two-time winner Neil Corbin is now the sole leader of the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Driver’s Championship after a major shake-up of the standings following First Citizens King of the Hill (May 24) and BCIC RB26 (May 29-31), rounds four to six of the nine-round competition.

Blackett narrows gap to Norris in BKA title fight

After a hyper-competitive round of the 2026 Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship at Bushy Park on Sunday (June 14), Aaron Blackett has again moved closer to points leader Edward Norris in the Champion Driver title chase; Norris has 369 points and Blackett 357, with Jacob Mayers third on 346.

  Top scorer in Easykart 125cc in April, cutting four points off Norris’s lead, he carried the momentum into the fourth round. With three hard-fought race wins, he was again top scorer, further reducing Norris’s lead as the championship reaches half-way.

Karters return to action for BKA round four

Two weeks after competing in Rally Barbados for the first time as a co-driver, 16-year-old Hailey Brathwaite will be back behind the wheel on Sunday (June 14). After a seven-week break, the Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Sectus Technologies Championship resumes with round four at Bushy Park Barbados, scheduled for a 9.00am start.

Gregg climbs BMF Rally2 table after BCIC RB26

With three different winners in the first four rounds and three more drivers on the podium, season five of the Barbados Rally2 Championship is the most competitive yet. Jamaica’s Kyle Gregg (Ford Fiesta Rally2) was the top scorer over the two rounds at BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 (May 29-31), climbing from fifth to third, just eight points now covering the top three in the title chase with two rounds remaining.

Nine trophies for Adrenaline Rush at BCIC RB26

Adrenaline Rush Racing, the family motor sport team founded by patriarch Peter ‘Duct Tape’ Thompson in 1993, has good cause to celebrate after BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 (May 29-31). Eight of the team’s drivers and co-drivers collected class trophies at Monday’s Prizegiving at The Boatyard, with the newest recruit, Chloe Mustor, also crowned Highest-placed Female Co-driver.

Maloney, Yearwood back at the top in BCIC RB26

One year after retiring from the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event, 2024 winners Stuart Maloney and Kristian Yearwood returned to the top step of the podium at BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 (May 29-31). Victorious last year, Jamaican Kyle Gregg and Yearwood’s brother Kreigg finished second, ahead of Mark Maloney and son Justin.
