McCONNEY AND CRONEY WIN JUNE SAFARI

Philip McConney and Kenny Croney in their Suzuki Samurai defeated all-comers - and the elements - to claim victory in last Saturday's 4 x 4 June Safari, the second round of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Ruf 'n' Tuf Navigational Championship, sponsored by Barbados Industries Ltd.
At the end of a demanding route, one section of which had to be cancelled as the hill had been rendered impassable by heavy rain, McConney and Croney had a total of 1500 penalties. Second were David Stoute and Robin Hinds, who collected 3200 penalties in their Toyota Hilux.

MUD DOGS INTO BATTLE AGAIN

The second round of the 2008 BRC Mud Dogs Safari Championship - the season’s most important navigational event - promises once again to challenge man and machine, in much the same way as ‘The June Rally’ has done every year since 1957.
