Early points leader Mark Maloney will be looking to increase his advantage in the 2019 Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup when round two runs off at Bushy Park Barbados on Bank Holiday Monday (June 10). With two race wins and a second place from the opening round in April, Maloney starts the day 20 points clear of the chasing pack, with three 15-lap races on the schedule.

Maloney leads SR3 Cup from newcomer Myers

Mark Maloney of Barbados is the early leader of the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup (RCC), following two race wins in Monday’s (April 29) opening round at Bushy Park Barbados. While his brother Stuart, the reigning RCC Champion, won the second race, Jamaican newcomer William Myers ended the day second on points, after an impressive three podium finishes on his debut in the regional series for Suzuki-powered Radical SR3s.

Jamaican twosome join Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup

Double Jamaican Modified Production 2 Champion William Myers and fellow-countryman Horatio Brown will join the grid when the second season of the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup gets under way at Bushy Park Barbados on Heroes Day Bank Holiday Monday, April 29. They bring to 36 the number of regional and international drivers who have competed in the Suzuki-powered Radical SR3 sports-racers at the St Philip facility.

Three regional championships for Bushy Park Barbados in 2019

Bushy Park Barbados will host qualifying rounds of three regional championships for the first time next year. The facility’s Event Calendar for 2019, published today (December 12), confirms visits by the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) and the Radical Caribbean SR3 Cup to join those of the inaugural Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy (CJKAT) announced last week.

McCartney & Bynoe are 2018 BPMSI Champions

Devan McCartney is Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc’s (BPMSI) Champion Driver for 2018, with Kevin Bynoe claiming the Champion Rider crown. At the third and final round of the Club’s 2018 Championship season during the Williams Digicel International Race Meet at the St Philip facility on September 1/2, McCartney claimed a hat-trick of Group 1/Class 2 wins, while Bynoe clinched the Superstock Bike title by just one point.
