Caterham Caribbean Cup titles settled over 500 laps

After more than 500 racing laps in 15 Sprint and Enduro events at Bushy Park Barbados last weekend (November 25/26), British sports car manufacturer Caterham marked the end of its 50th Anniversary year by naming the Champions in three categories of the first Caterham Caribbean Cup (CCC23). James Emson and son Tom won the Caterham Seven 270R title, Tom Cockerill and Taylor O’Flanagan prevailed in 310R, while Barry Benham and Stephen Lyall were the rather surprised winners of 420R.

Alleyne, O’Neal win “perfect” Old Brigand Rum Safari

Leslie Alleyne and Chris O’Neal won Sunday’s (November 19) Old Brigand Rum November Safari, the final round the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2023 Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship in their Pod Store/Maxxis/Lucky Locks Suzuki Jimny. As he celebrated an eighth Champion Driver title and O’Neal’s seventh as Navigator, Alleyne described it as “the perfect event to finish the year”.

Caterham Champions and Jokers spice up Bushy Park

Eight past or present Caterham Motorsport title-winners, led by the marque’s 2023 British Champion Lewis Thompson, head the entry list for this weekend’s Caterham Caribbean Cup (CCC23) at Bushy Park Barbados. With 11 championships won between them in the past four years and more than 40 race wins in this year alone, these seasoned campaigners promise a weekend of high-octane action at the St Philip facility.

Endurance race winners head for Bushy Park debut

The Williams Motorsport team of Toby Ballard, Rrutuj Patki and Henry Williams are heading to race at Bushy Park Barbados for the first time buoyed by victory in last weekend’s (November 10-12) annual Race of Remembrance at the Anglesey Circuit in north Wales in a Caterham 270R. The British trio beat the similar DBR Racing Caterham to the chequered flag by just 50 seconds after 12 hours of racing.

Old Brigand Rum November Safari ends MudDogs season

As the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2023 Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship concludes this weekend, five new names bring to more than 50 the number of competitors who have tackled off-road navigational events this year. And the recent prolonged rainy spell has created ideal conditions for Sunday’s (November 19) Old Brigand Rum November Safari, the fifth and final round.

Daniel Ullyett is 2023 BKA Champion Driver

Daniel Ullyett is the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association’s (BKA) 2023 Champion Driver, adding a third overall title to those he won in 2020 and ’21 and a first in the 100cc Easykart Juniors class. The final round on November 5 which was lost to bad weather has not been re-scheduled, so the Sectus Technologies Championship points have been declared after the six rounds run between March and October.

Entry window opens for Rally Barbados 2024

The on-line entry form for Rally Barbados 2024 will go live next week on the official web site, rallybarbados.net, opening a six-month window to enter the Caribbean’s biggest annual motor sport International. RB24 will be the 34th edition of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event since the first International All-Stage Rally in 1990.

Scottish crew stunned to win Rally Barbados prize

Scottish crew Mike Curry and Kevin MacIver are the winners of the Rally to Barbados draw run in association with this year’s Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally (October 13-15) in the UK. The prize, supported by Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, covers entry to Rally Barbados 2024 and the previous weekend’s King of the Hill, inclusive of return shipping for their historic Sunbeam Imp Sport from the UK to Barbados.
