Sharma and Trinidad win Nations Cup at Bushy Park

Trinidad and Tobago won the BMF OK-J Development Series Nations Cup at Bushy Park at the weekend (August 15-17), while hosts Barbados prevailed in a tough battle with Jamaica for second. T&T’s Alex Sharma was the individual Champion, with four race wins, Zak Mayers won the other two to finish second, while Sharma’s consistent team-mate Abishek Ramdeen was third.

The 2025 Barbados Rally2 Championship opened its fourth season at the weekend on a high note. Not only was the level of competition consistently high, with margins of just tenths and hundredths of a second separating the contenders, but newcomers boosted the entry list to 12, the highest yet for the opening round.

Less than 10 seconds covered the top four at the finish, as Jamaica’s Kyle Gregg and Jeff Panton deprived early rally leader, Britain’s Rob Swann, of a podium finish and the leading contenders gained some valuable pointers head of BCIC Rally Barbados 2025.
