Just 45 points cover the top six in the overall standings of the Sectus Technologies Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Championship as racers prepare for the Glassesco Raceday at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (October 1). With a maximum of 100 points on offer for four race wins in one day, a feat achieved only twice this year, there is still all to play for at this weekend’s penultimate round and the final on November 5.

Blake Thompson has led the 100cc Easykart Juniors class since the opening round in March, assuming the lead of the overall title chase after round three in July. With 412 points, he is only three ahead of former Champion Driver Daniel Ullyett in both the class and overall standings, with reigning Champion and leader of the 125cc Easykart Lights class Calem Maloney third on 387.

There are just six points dividing the drivers placed fourth to sixth: Raizer Stoute has 373 points, two ahead of Colin Bradshaw, while Zac Mayers has been steadily climbing the leader board, another four points behind Bradshaw on 367. Stoute is third in the Juniors class, while Colin Bradshaw is second to Maloney in Lights, with Aaron Blackett in third place.

Mayers has been the top scorer in the Easykart 60cc Cadets three times and leads the class standings by 19 points from Aeden Bruce, who had started the season in the lead of the overall title chase, with his cousin Jacob Mayers third another eight points behind.

In the 125cc Easykart Masters class, Mark Thompson, who lies seventh in the overall standings, leads the class by nearly 100 points, having surged ahead of early points leader Cody Mark, who failed to score in round five.
