DEAD HEAT IN RUF ’n’ TUF NAVIGATIONAL EVENT

A look at the rule book was necessary to settle a dead heat in a very competitive opening round of the new Barbados Rally Club Ruf ’n’ Tuf Navigational Championship on Saturday (March 13). Just 200 penalty points covered the top four finishers after the 160-kilometre event, the leading two crews reaching the finish on the same penalty score of 300.

KEEN COMPETITION EXPECTED IN RUF ’n’ TUF EVENT

Competition promises to be intense when the new Barbados Rally Club Ruf ’n’ Tuf Navigational Championship gets under way this weekend; more than 20 crews had entered by the close of the mid-week briefing meeting and entries remain open until two hours before the start on Saturday (March 13).

RUF ’n’ TUF TO SPONSOR NEW BRC CHAMPIONSHIP

Following on from its determined efforts to revive navigational rallying last year, the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) has secured sponsorship for a fully-fledged championship in 2004.
The BRC Ruf ’n’ Tuf Navigational Championship will comprise four rounds, the first catering for cars and 4 x 4 vehicles, the remaining events restricted to 4 x 4s; the opening round will take place this Saturday, March 13, following a briefing meeting on Tuesday evening (March 9) at Kendall Sporting.
