Maloney and Yearwood second on rallying return

BCIC Rally Barbados 2024 winners Stuart Maloney and Kristian Yearwood finished an impressive second in Saturday’s (January 17) MGJ Engineering Brands Hatch Winter Stages (BHWS) in their first outing since retiring from BCIC RB25. Maloney’s brother Mark finished sixth and George Sherman ninth in a brilliant weekend for the visitors.

BCIC RB26 entry list already oversubscribed

Entries for BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 have been posted at an unprecedented rate since the October 1 opening date. As the provisional entry list for the 36th edition of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event goes live on rallybarbados.net today (January 1), the maximum start list of 120 is already oversubscribed.

Esports facility on track after BMF wins FIA funding

Supported by a grant from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) President’s Development Fund, the island is to have a state-of-the-art Esports facility that is accessible to everyone. Work is scheduled to start in the first quarter of next year, following the successful funding application by the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF).

More than 50 days of motor sport action are listed on the 2026 Calendar published at the weekend by the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF), the island’s governing body for the sport. From late February through to the last weekend of November, the season offers plenty for the island’s ever-growing competitor and fan base to enjoy.

New names on Rally Club’s 2025 Roll of Honour

Six new names are listed among the 22 overall and class champions confirmed today (Friday) by the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) following a successful 2025 season. More than 230 competitors regularly participated in the Club’s varied motor sport disciplines, with a record number of 70 local crews starting its premier event, BCIC Rally Barbados.

Returnees win big at second Caterham Caribbean Cup

All three categories in last weekend’s (December 5/6) Caterham Caribbean Cup (CCC25) were won by drivers paying their second visit to Bushy Park Barbados. James Emson and son Tom won the Caterham Seven 310R title, Nick Highton and Lewis Thompson prevailed in 270R, while Charlie Lower partnered the only newcomer from the six, Kyle Townend, to win the Roadsport class, which was new to the island this year.

Caterham Motorsport set to light up Bushy Park

Nearly 12 hours of slipstreaming, sideways wheel-to-wheel action are on the cards as Champions, race winners and podium finishers from the 2025 UK race season compete in the second Caterham Caribbean Cup at Bushy Park Barbados on Friday and Saturday (December 5/6).

Local Champions to take on UK Caterham regulars

Father and son Geoff and Daniel Ullyett will add local family flavour to the second Caribbean Caterham Cup (CCC25) at Bushy Park Barbados next month. They will share the Caterham Seven 310R in which Geoff recently won the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Autocross Championship to compete against 25 more Caterham Sevens, which landed from the UK at the Bridgetown Port this week.

Maloney wins BKA crown, as Cadets fight to the end

Calem Maloney is the 2025 Barbados Karting Association (BKA) Champion Driver after winning his fourth consecutive Easykart 125cc class title. Bringing his total of victories for the year to 19, he shared the race wins in Sunday’s (November 16) final round of the Sectus Technologies Championship two apiece with outgoing Champion Jacob Mayers.

Maloney a winner again on return to Bushy Park

Home for a final break before the start of his second ABB Formula E World Championship season at Sao Paulo in Brazil in three weeks’ time, Zane Maloney returned to Bushy Park where his career began and won the second Cole Clarke Racing (CCR) 3 Hour Endurance Kart Race on Saturday (November 15).

  With changeable weather conditions early in the day, Maloney and Sebastian Thompson were fastest in wet Practice and dry Qualifying, then led the 179-lap race for all but 10 or so laps just after the half-hour mark, also clocking the fastest lap.
