EDWARDS AND CORBIN WIN ARMAG MARCH SAFARI

Dustin Edwards and Ryan Corbin started the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) new Mud Dogs season in the same way they finished the last, repeating their Nassco November Safari victory in last Saturday’s (March 6) ARMAG March Safari, opening round of the 2010 Championship.

MUD DOGS KICK OFF WITH ARMAG MARCH SAFARI

The Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Mud Dogs Safari Championship gets under way on Saturday (March 6), with the ARMAG March Safari, which has been set by reigning Champion Navigator and Driver Robert Warren and Darrin White.
After completing the route, White said: “I would like to let everyone know that we have set this Safari with mainly the novices and beginners in mind. Our goal was to set a Safari that was fun to drive with great off-road terrain and great views of the island . . . but not to get competitors lost.

ANGLIA BOOSTS WRC ENTRY FOR SOL RALLY BARBADOS

Following a steady rise in the number of World Rally Cars contesting the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) blue riband event, the on-line entries for Sol Rally Barbados (May 29/30) suggest the total will reach record levels again for the 2010 event, which celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the inaugural running of the Club’s International All-Stage Rally.

The Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Spring Gravel Sprint on Saturday (February 27), kicks off the 2010 motor sport season with an International flavour, with a welcome return to the island scene by Trinidad-based Jamaican John ‘Pentti’ Powell in the Subaru Impreza WRC S12 in which he finished third in Rally Jamaica 2009.
