“Unfinished business” for Swann in Rally Barbados

Britain’s Rob Swann is aiming to deal with “unfinished business” at BCIC Rally Barbados 2026 (May 29-31). The last of his four second-placed finishes in the island’s premier event came in RB20 to the late Ken Block and he is bringing back the Ford Fiesta WRC that he drove that year, winning the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 4wd Championship.

His Fiesta is part of a second consecutive record-breaking consignment of rally cars from Europe – 38 this year, 35 in 2025 – which left Portsmouth on the south coast of England this morning (Monday) on the Geest Line freighter CS Quality.

Panton wins his second Barbados Rally2 title

Jamaica’s Jeff Panton is the 2025 Barbados Rally2 Champion, adding a second title to that of 2023. Martinique win gives Panton Rally2 points lead

Jamaica’s Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell Jnr won round five of the Barbados Rally2 Championship at the Martinique Rallye Tour over the weekend (July 24-27). While he could not match the pace of island hero Simon Jean-Joseph, who claimed the outright victory by 26 seconds in his Porsche 911 GT3, Panton finished second overall for the fourth time since 2017 and held off a strong challenge from local driver Gregory Buchholzer to win the Rally2 class by 14s.
