Record-breaking start for third Suzuki Challenge Series

The third Suzuki Challenge Series got off to a record-breaking start at Bushy Park Barbados at the Glassesco John ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorial Race Meet, organised by Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) over the weekend (May 6/7). Early leader of the SR3 Cup, reigning Champion Suleman Esuf, set new Qualifying and Race Lap Records  - and he’d lapped even faster in Practice - while Josh Read has edged ahead in the Swift Cup, the first time he has led the post-event standings.

Glassesco to sponsor ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorial Race Meet

Glassesco was today (Thursday) confirmed as sponsor of this weekend’s (May 6/7) John ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorical Race Meet at Bushy Park Barbados. For the second time this year, Bushy Park Motor Sports Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) will share the programme, while the Suzuki Challenge Series will also kick off its third season.

Four Champions ready for third Suzuki Challenge Series

All four Suzuki Challenge Series Overall Champions will line up on the grid when the third series gets under way at the Glassesco John ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorial Race Meet at Bushy Park Barbados this weekend (May 6/7). Inaugural Champions Sean Maloney (SR3 Cup) and Trinidad & Tobago’s Ryan Peyrau (Swift Cup) will face Ryan Wood and Sol Esuf respectively, who clinched the 2016/17 titles at the St Philip facility in January.

Campbell joins Suzuki Challenge Series Swift Cup

Justin Campbell is Team Rock Hard Cement’s new signing, having won a Drive-Off at Bushy Park Barbados earlier this month. He will line up on the Swift Cup grid when the third Suzuki Challenge Series kicks off at the John ‘Tiny’ Harrison Memorial Raceday (May 6/7) at the St Philip facility.

McCartney and Walcott claim Bushy Park hat-tricks

Devan McCartney and Andre Walcott each claimed a hat-trick of class wins as Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) opened its 2017 Championship at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (March 26), while Kyle King overcame a 10-second jump-start penalty to win the Hilti Handicap on his circuit racing debut. The St Philip facility staged the island’s first-ever joint event for horsepower and pedal-power, as BPMSI combined with the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) and the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU).

BPMSI Champions start title defence at Bushy Park

Five of Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc’s (BPMSI) Reigning Champions will start the defence of their 2016 titles at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (March 26), as BPMSI joins forces with the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) and the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) to stage the island’s first-ever combined event for horsepower and pedal-power. BADD officials are looking forward to a day of potentially record-breaking competition, while the BCU is hoping to use Sunday as a stepping-stone for the future.

BCU joins BPMSI & BADD at Bushy Park for island first

The Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) will join forces with Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) at Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (March 26) to stage the island’s first-ever combined event for horsepower and pedal-power. Circuit Acclimatisation will be followed by two 20-minute Handicap Races, interspersed with the existing track racing and drag strip activity.

Bushy Park hosts 2017 curtain-raiser for BPMSI & BADD

Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) will share Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday, March 26, to launch their respective Championship seasons. Track and drag strip activity will alternate during a 10-hour programme, as drivers seek to open their 2017 accounts.

Jeffrey thrives on pressure at Radical International

Two-time Caribbean Motor Racing Champion, Guyana’s Kristian Jeffrey, is benefitting from lessons learned in the tough competition arena of January’s Radical International at Bushy Park Barbados, where he won four of the weekend’s six races to be crowned Suzuki Challenge Series SR3 Winter Cup Champion. The weekend produced the closest and most dramatic racing yet seen among the Suzuki-powered Radicals, with less than a second covering each driver’s fastest lap.
